News about John Lennon

Perhaps the price of Free Thinking?

FBI releases final John Lennon files12/20/2006 10:06 AM, APThe FBI has released its final surveillance documents on John Lennon to a university historian who has waged a 25-year legal battle to obtain the secret files.
The 10 pages contain new details about Lennon's ties to leftist and anti-war groups in London in the early 1970s, but nothing indicating government officials considered the former Beatle a serious threat, historian Jon Wiener told the Los Angeles Times in Wednesday's editions.
The FBI had unsuccessfully argued that an unnamed foreign government secretly provided the information, and releasing the documents could lead to diplomatic, political or economic retaliation against the United States.
The newly released documents include a surveillance report stating that two prominent British leftists had courted Lennon in hopes that he would finance "a left-wing bookshop and reading room in London" but that Lennon gave them no money. Another page states that there was "no certain proof" that Lennon had provided money "for subversive purposes."
"I doubt that Tony Blair's government will launch a military strike on the U.S. in retaliation for the release of these documents," Wiener told the newspaper. "Today, we can see that the national security claims that the FBI has been making for 25 years were absurd from the beginning."
Wiener first requested the documents in 1981, several months after he decided to write a book about Lennon following the singer's murder. He initially obtained some documents, but the FBI withheld numerous files, saying they contained national security information and were exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.
Wiener sued the government and received a number of files in 1997 as part of a settlement with the FBI. Justice Department lawyers continued to withhold the final 10 pages until a federal judge in 2004 ordered their release.
The previously released files showed that the FBI closely monitored Lennon from 1971 to 1972.

Blue Print Review

I submitted a still of my video art for this poetry magazine called Blue Print Review go check them out. Down below is the press release Doro Mailed to me.

it’s the 12th day of the 12th month of the year, which makes it exactly 12 days until X-mas. if you count all those numbers, you will reach 9, which - according to numerology – connects to Mars, is representative of the yielding of the third trinity, and, on top of it, has the primary numerological meanings of universal truths.

9 is also the number of the new issue of the blueprintreview. unplanned, but rather in tune with this number, this new issue contains stories, poems and letters that are personal and universal and true: there’s the story of a buddha taxi in new york, the moment of a disillusion in china, the reflection on a population displaced in paris and the maybe of a truth found in Antigua – just to begin with it.
also included, inspired by the upcoming holidays, a list of paper pleasures that wait to be opened…

all of this, just 1 click away: http://www.blueprintreview.de/
thanks for being part!

happy numbers to you ~

Duke Energy

Response to a letter I received from Duke Energy

From a letter Duke Energy that pretty said could possibly raise the rate of cost to heat ones home is justified based on Duke Energy's notion of more use equates higher prices when that is the basis of anything a new power company says after they bought out previous companies territory.

I guess all power companies in the end are nothing but filthy blood suckers gouging from your house instead of putting energy and warmth into your home. Combining Cinergy with Dukes creates one giant vampire swooping down over the tristate with a black vale sucking the money from peoples wallets laughing into the night flying back to their secret lair of doom

Then I read in the letter they are talking the use of coal. Coal. Are we in the dark ages? I thought higher fuel prices were due in part of the crisis in the gulf. I apologize for my sudden ignorance on fuel efficiency and sources of power, but exactly what are the facts?
I'm not an expert on these matters but I feel a lack of consistency here. I feel it is the media part to investigate this before those in power agree to these shenanigans and price gouge citizens and lower income with these frivolous rate hikes that wasn't high before Duke Energy stepped into the picture. The rule of common sense usually by use you are charged accordingly and the money you receive covers your costs of energy output thus allowing you to stay in business, and pay salaries of employees and your posh swanky lifestyle including funding further expansion pursuits.

Your ideology of taking more then you are willing to give says that Vampires have more scruples and values then you do. Again I thought We were using nuclear power like the rest of the world. I thought 2006 most people would be living in the 21 st century. Thanks to Duke we may be just back to the dark ages.

Thankfully? Somebody could drive a stake through their greedy and archaic hearts and put an end to Dukes Vampiric empire.
