M is thrilled to have video artist Controlled by Bees for a second month. He both shocked and delighted patrons who were able to view the May show and his video installation titled Visual Anomalies. The artist has juxtaposed images of women from the silent film Haxen: Witchcraft through the Ages, 50's era adult films and footage of female Russian Islamic terrorists taking hostages in this non-narrative piece. The images create new meaning when shown in combination, intensifying the power of the stories they tell independently and the controversial subject-matter elicits a range of emotions, allowing each individual to have a personal experience with the piece.
The sound track features music by electronic group Run_Return from Oakland California and creates a rhythm, threading the images together.

In a relatively short time the artist, Craig Caudill, has come a long way with his experimental video art. In addition to several award nominations, Craig was awarded the TV Eye, as well as the first place 2001 Philo T. Farnsworth award for computer video art (non-professional). In Cincinnati highlights of past exhibits include the Intermedia Film Festival at the Weston Art Gallery and the recent Cincinnati Festival of the New as well as Autumedia at Media Bridges. Outside of Cincinnati, Craig’s work has been exhibited in Germany, Japan and France.
