Tonight is that ABC news Special The UFO Phenomenon -- Seeing Is Believing
Well first of all I'm sick of all these Documentaries on the subject and there really isn't anything new, except more and more stories. Will people learn to focus the camera? I really love blurry pictures and hoaxes on video. I don't know why people are so eager to prove the existence of alien life? who Cares? and who Would really benefit if they were?
For the record I am going to say that I believe in inteligent life on other planets and we are not alone. But I doubt people are getting abducted. Think of it this way. Imagine a school bus full of children going on a trip to the Zoo. Its not very hard. I could imagine thats what It is more like. I can't see a lot of the sinister things imagined from people like Whitely Strieber's books. If your curious read them.
Personally the Communion was a very good book and very scarey but after reading transformation I got the feeling he was just making this up as he went along. sorry Strieber fans. I think he should have stuck to horror.
I'm not one to believe anecdotal stories or after the fact stories. And I'm very tired of "You should have been there stories." I just think people are looking for ways of making money on a touchy subject. Whitley Strieber in his books, he is gaining ground in the New Age Movement, and I find it sad people are sucked into such things.
There is nothing wrong in believing in things. I just don't think anyone is chosen by higher beings to guide us in our everyday lives.
In life I see more and more reason for individual expression. I feel groups hinder growth and yet we need people around us, to keep us from feeling lonely. and yet Freedom is an utmost in my life.
I find people who believe in things tend to uphold the notion of self importance and above those that is not like them. I think the new age movement is just another wave of christianity in diferent forms. In a lot of ways Christianity became a more convenient form of Judaism. I could piss a lot of people off by saying Christianity is Hebrew Light. And over the years there has been a pressing need for spiritual expression without the guilt of ancient dogma at least that was started from the Jewish faith. Most religions at the time were more open to Swanky lifestyles.
I feel this is where spirituality is evolving. or better yet more contemporaized. Instead of chariots in the sky they are flying saucers. God is really in the mother ship and we are all descendants of aliens from long ago.
Now comes all my crazy ideas. Wouldn't it be funny that all these attempts that we are planning to colonize mars, and make the suface more habitable for us to live on. And then we find out that actually we were martians along time ago but couldn't live on mars because of pollution and disease. So we moved to earth to live and yet we forgot thus begins the story of Adam and Eve. I think the irony would be very amusing. And if this were the case then Living on mars would never be possible and we are all screwed for life with these stupid plans for building colonies.
But the most pervasive idea that comes to mind is why are they talking about aliens right now, and especially now on mainstream media? it seems as though everytime something goes wrong in the world Fluff News pieces seems to come up to keep the masses minds off real news Scandals in the world. Like the SNL scandals. maybe our goverment wants our minds focused on Fluff Stories and not the failing war on terror or Republicans attempts of ussurping the world, and it's resources. I means stories like this always remained in the realm of tabloid fodder. It was never considered news.
My best guess is this will be another stupid story with inconclusive results. I remember a time when a journalists motto was "Just the Facts" that means anything else just isn't news.
Growing up I've learned that you must read what you are reading and watch what you are watching. It seems as those everything works like a pointed question which leads to predictable results because you have no other options but the ones given to you. Most questions never have options. Most questions ask you to pick a side, and not what you really think.
My point is this. I feel after I see this story tonight I will still be sceptical and even more scenical because I haven't learned anything new. but to triumph from this, more than likely I just won't care. because living my life is always more important.. Reading this your probably wondering. If your so above all this why are you going to watch this anyway? Well I never said I was. Because like any bad car wreck. I no its wrong to look but you just can't help yourself.
After watching this I will leave some impressions if any.
